As Director of Business Development of ARi, Herb Everss is in charge of establishing new contacts and automotive relationships to help build, expand and manage ARi's presence in the industry.

In addition to ARi, Everss is also president of Global EMERGENT, an automotive strategic business development company. His career includes 35 years of international experience in the automotive industry, with concentrated expertise in new business development with such companies as Walbro, Siemens Automotive, Mannesmann VDO, Textron and European companies new to the North American auto industry.

Prior to Global EMERGENT, Everss was senior vice president of sales and program management for Kautex/Textron, North America. Previously, he was president and CEO, Mannesmann VDO, instrumental in establishing an industry identity for the supplier through a strategic marketing campaign. He also streamlined European and U.S. business units and analyzed the company's resource allocation, increasing efficiency and overall sales.

While with Siemens, Everss grew revenue from $200 million to more than $1 billion and secured Siemens' first long-term contract with Ford, establishing a globally recognized relationship with the OEM. He was clearly identified as a key team member in this phenomenal growth, adapting to the German culture and advising his global partners in the ways of the automotive industry in North America.

Strategic revenue development is one of Everss' strengths. As OE sales manager with Walbro Corporation, Everss advanced the organization from a one-product line company to Tier One status resulting in long term contracts from Chrysler and Ford.

Everss is a long-time member and recent advisor for SAE International. He is the former president and founder of the Sales and Marketing Executives of Detroit, and a member of Troy Kiwanis Club, Detroit Athletic Club and Renaissance Club. He also is a board advisor at Walsh College, long-time committee representative for the Convergence Exposition, board member of Junior Achievement and is involved with numerous other activities within the industry.

Everss earned a bachelor's of science degree from Western Michigan University, and attended the MBA program at the University of Detroit.
